EARLY DANCE EDUCATION (ages 3-7)

Our early years dance program starts here. Children’s innate response to music is movement. Children develop coordination, balance, musicality & movement through story-telling. Music & Dance classes include an intro to music, rhythm, early note recognition & use of percussion instruments. Students build their listening skills, self-discipline & socialization skills. In the following primary school years, technique, musicality & class expectations become more sophisticated as your child matures. Examinations are offered at the Pre-Primary level and higher.

VOCATIONAL BALLET TRAINING

( Intermediate Foundation - Solo Seal Award ) 

The Vocational Graded Syllabus is the continuation of classical ballet training from the Academy’s Graded Syllabus. However, it also stands alone as a full training regime, commencing from the age of approximately nine to 12 years and is geared towards those engaging in the serious study of ballet. The first vocational level, Intermediate Foundation is often followed by a graded level 4 or 5 level of study.

CLASSICAL BALLET

( Beginner Ballet & Grades 1 -  Grade 8 )

At CDM Dance Toronto, we provide a comprehensive program in ballet for all ages and levels. Starting at  five and include elements of Free Movement and Character dance (see more RAD info). One class per week are required for Pre-Primary and Primary levels. Two classes per week are required for exam preparation from Grade 1 to Grade 4. All exams are optional and are not a requirement for advancement in the Graded levels.
